#247: 12th Anniversary (finally)
I’m not even sorry for being late but I AM pissed because of relevant issues.
Regarding Bronze on MangaTraders:
I honestly don’t give a flying fuck who has done what where. We WILL continue where WE left off because we have/had people scanning their books especially for us and we’re not gonna waste their precious work by skipping volumes because someone thought we were too slow.
Regarding hiatus:
I can only stress again that we all have a life apart from scanlations. GOOC is only 4 ppl who are all tied up with other things in their lives. As the leader, I’m already trying to do as much on my own as I can. But I’ve been doing scanlations for the last TEN years. Honestly, give me a fucking break when I need/want to take care of other stuff in my life first.
If GOOC is going to close down, I WILL notify you all, and not leave you on an indefinite hiatus. If we don’t release for a long time – like recently – it’ll only mean that we’re taking a break. If there is an indefinite hiatus (i.e. dead for years), it’ll mean that I’m dead or have been injured so badly that I’m not capable of doing scanlations anymore. Now let’s pray that the last two options are never going to happen in the near future.

Take what we can offer, or leave.

I’m wishing thee another anniversary to celebrate despite how western society jinxed 13. I assume all of us is legal aged, which means most of us survived our 13th year of living with no real damage(let’s not dwell on the how hormonally imbalance we were at that time). So I have faith on how GOOC will celebrate anniversary for many years ahead =D

Which is why I have no idea what’s been released on MangaTraders for Bronze. I’m sticking with GOOC. I don’t care how long it takes, because I depend on the kindness of strangers like GOOC to bridge my regrettable language gap, and real people have to take care of real lives, and even step back for a bit to recharge. I’m deeply grateful for the hard work that goes into the releases, the site, everything.

I appreciate very much that you’ve chosen to continue the group in spite of RL pressures and some who whine about releases. However, scanlation is something YOU choose to do and no one except yourselves are “entitled” to anything from the group. I, for one, am grateful for your willingness to share the product of your skills with those of us who don’t have your talents or skills.

Dear Icassop and GOOC team, take your time to do what you need to do first which is RL. You do this for pure entertainment and we are thankful for all this time. I still remember when you told me “Hey! We DO have a life too” =D I remember that I used to go to your channel EVERYDAY and check if there was any update. Please know that there are many fans like myself who completely get that and empathize with you, even support you in that. I promise you that I am patient and faithful to wait like a loyal puppy at the door for you to come “home” (here) from “work” (RL) to bring me treats and affection. This puppy will happily give you kisses and affection in response. Wow, happy 12th Anniversary! You guys are great and twelve years of wonderful BL scanlations is just awesome! Thank you so much for all you have done until now. I know that scanlating takes a lot of time and I am so thankful to you guys for presenting us a whole lot of goodies over all the past years.
I followed you for quite some year (I think it must be about over 8 years) but most of the time as a silent follower, I guess. Sorry, it is not something I am very proud of but you know I always enjoyed every release especially the chapters of my favorite Manga series Bronze.
I know it is your birthday, so it is not for me to make a wish but my wish is many more years with you. Take as much time for your life as you need, go on hiatus or take a break as long as you wish. When you come back I will be overjoyed and follow you loyally.

With Bronze, the other source is really just providing an appetizer. Your releases are of better quality so theirs are only read until your releases and then the others are forgotten.
Dangerous Pleasure had a few series like that. As soon as the DP ones were available, the poor quality ones were tossed aside.

Happy Anniversary! 12 yrs is a great achievement. OoO I don’t understand how some people cannot comprehend that scanlators have lives outside of scanlating(that they are doing for free), but I applaud you all for putting up with those types of people and continuing scanlating.
I’m glad you will inform us if this group will be disbanded. Sadly, some scanlation groups disappear without a single notice.

I have been reading your work for maney years. I would like to thank you for your work on Bronze. It is one of my loves. I would offer to help if i could make things go faster. I am a former scanlations editor. We do all have busy lives.
I will patiently wait for the next release of Bronze. And, i must say, i prefer your released of that series more than the others i’ve seen. Keep doing what you are doing.
